Ending A Windows Installer Transaction Event Id 1042
Installers are not working anymore. Ending a Windows Installer transaction: G. Did you check the event viewer for errors?
Today EDMarketConnector wouldn't launch. So, I uninstalled it with the intent to reinstall it.
When I try to reinstall it, I receive the following error: Could not open key: UNKNOWN Components E66BB33D46696BABA0900B D36CE4CBC011866B8B1242. System error 5. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.
Attached is a screenshot. In Event Viewer, MsiInstaller has the following error (Event ID 11402): Product: Elite Dangerous Market Connector -- Error 1402. Could not open key: UNKNOWN Components E66BB33D46696BABA0900B D36CE4CBC011866B8B1242. System error 5. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.

System error 5 is 'Access Denied'. I don't know how you got in this situation but the following should work: • Run regedit • Press Ctrl+F and search for the key E66BB33D46696BABA0900B - you should find it under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Installer UserData S-1-5-18 Components. (regedit in Windows 10 build 10565 and later is a bit crashy - you may find it works better if you select the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE before starting the search). • Delete the key E66BB33D46696BABA0900B • Reinstall EDMarketConnector. System error 5 is 'Access Denied'.
